It is just another day in the small town of Alistair when Callie Barker, a young ambitious reporter for the Tribune, decides to stop by the police station looking for her next story. She overhears the chief of Police Russell Ford speaking with town resident Doris Peeler. Doris claims that she lost parts of her memory after seeing the town hypnotist, and asks the police to investigate the matter. Against the advice of the chief, Callie takes it upon herself to investigate Doris’ claims and drives to Deja’s place to find the truth.

On the way, Callie persuades Luca Mattix, the owner of the paper, to join her in what seems to be a harmless investigation. Against his better judgment, Luca joins her, but quickly realizes they are in over their heads after snooping around Deja’s shop.  Luca knows there is more to the story than meets the eye but at that point it’s too late. Circumstances beyond their control, force them to seek help in the most unlikely of places.

In Distant Shadows explores the idea that our world is merely the surface of something deeper. Every so often, the unseen spiritual world controls the physical realm in which we live and breathe. Therefore, it’s more important than ever to seek the truth and stand up for what you believe.
